- Jesus took Peter, James and John and carried them up a high mountain.
- While there in the mountain, he was transformed. His face shone like the sun and his clothes became dazzling white.
- Then Moses and Elijah appeared next to Jesus.
- Lord, I will make three tabernacles here. One for You, one for Moses and one for Elijah.
- Then a voice came from the cloud saying, "This is my beloved Son, I take delight in Him, Listen to Him!"
- And when the disciples heard the voice, they were terrified.
- When they were walking down the mountain, Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone what they had witnessed on the mountain top, 'till the son of man was raised from the dead.
