Fun fact: Poison ivy rashes come from an allergic reaction to the plant's oil. About 90% of people have this allergy. Some could experience anaphylaxis with poison ivy. They get really bad hives and it'll swell their nose and mouth, they might have trouble breathing. In that case I would have needed to open your airway and call 911.
It doesn't feel very 'fun'...
But you'll be okay. You should learn what poisonous plants look like in order to avoid them in the future, and wear long pants that cover your legs when you go hiking.
