- Countries like Italy, Germany and Austria-Hungary had strong alliances. These alliances grew for the use of resources and power as a group. When one country was being attacked or threatened, the others would work together to help their neighbors grow power.
- The US will join in the war and create peace amongst other countries with League of Nations!
- A secret society in Serbia assassinated the arch duke Franz Ferdnidad of Austria-Hungary. Austria was already threatened by Serbia and so they accused them of planning the assassination. This initiated the war that spread throughput the world.
- Throughout the war, soldiers would stay in trenches and fight in between their trenches. New technologies were developed and soldiers were confronted things varying from internal drowning gases to planes/machine guns. It became a Total War.

- The people of the US did not want to get involved within the war but the president, Woodrow Wilson, wanted to create peace amongst the countries. The US joining lead to a peace treaty being made. Woodrow was still determined to cause peace amongst everyone so he created the League of Nations.
- After the war was done, the League of Nations allowed for slaves to be freed and for the cure for malaria to be distributed. Yet, multiple regions didn’t join and various economies were left powerless. Some dissapeared fully and others were taken by leaders to help revive what was lost.
- After all the destruction and pain caused, many things changed in society. People began to be more free and creative with their work. This varied from music to art. Yet, amongst this cange layed the trauma of those who fought. Soldiers experienced severe cases of shell shock.
