Use of thing for project

The ESL Class pg 112/113Jude has had trouble in all her other classes, but the ESL class is only a couple students and they can relate to her by being new to America. This makes Jude feel better about moving to America and gain some hope

The Hospital pg 184Jude and Mama are in the hospital and found out that the baby is healthy, breathing, and a girl! This excites Jude and gives her even more hope. She is starting to like America better and doesn't think things will be as bad as she imagined.
