I wish my father had let me pick my own husband instead of doing this casket test.
The casket test is a test Portia's father set in place for the man that wants to marry her. If they pick the incorrect casket that doesn't have Portia's picture they can never marry anyone.

I will choose the gold casket because every man desires Portia.
Who chooseth me must give and hazard all he hath
Who chooseth me shall get as much as he deserves
Who chooseth me shall gain what many men desire.
Portia opens the casket for him and there was a skull with a scroll that says All that glisters is not gold

The gold casket seems like the obvious choice so it is definitely not that. I will choose the silver casket because I deserve Portia

When Portia opens the silver casket for him there was a picture of a fool because only a fool would think they deserve Portia.
