- "Outside, the woods lay in clear October sunlight: the autumn air was full of the sharp,exciting smell of moist, leaf-covered earth." Judson gets suprised when his most prized possesion his closet gets broken into and finds his liquor half way full, Judson is furious!
- Climax
- I got you a bottle of liquor from your closet.
- He seemed fascinated as he saw the Bourbon changing into a deadly drink.“At least no one has found an antidote: once it’s down, it’s the end.” The conflict that is happening here is person vs person (external conflict) its person vs person because Judson thinks what he is doing is right and Mabel thinks that what he is doing is wrong so they argue and fight.
- Falling Action
- What's happening?
- I fed you the liquor from your closet you looked hurt.
- Mabel is mad at Judsno because she thinks that what he is doing isnt right: “Don’t do it, Judson,” she begged, “the law doesn’t punish burglary by death; so whatright have you?”. Judson doesnt agree and Mabel storms out of the house to go tell Alec's wife. Meanwhile Mabel does that Judson may have had an accident in the back.
- Resolution
- Oh no what have I done!
- "When reaching for his boots, Judson stepped upon that acorn. His foot slid from underhim and his head struck the massive table as he fell." Alec sees Judson from afar he saw that he was hurt so Alec goes inside knowing that he loves his liquor and feeds him the liquor.
- "Several minutes later, he began to regain his senses." Judson wakes up not knowing a single thing that is happening, he questions Alec and what has happened as he was unconsious.
- Judson is dead Alec fed him the deadly poisened liquor.
