- In the beginning Max during daycare was named kicker, then Freak showed up but he didn't do anything to Kicker. They both had nicked names during daycare Max was Kicker because once something would try to hug him or show any phyiscal touch he would kick them or hit them. And Kevin which is Freak he was named that cause when someone did something to him he would hit them with his crutches.

- Later on in the story Freak moved down the street, Max saw Freak as a crippled, but saw Fair Gwen as a movie star. Freak was a very smart and demanding kid later Max went to see Freak, and Freak was a very odd kid he would say ideify yourself earthling, and would use big words Max wouldn't know.

- Freak and Max had fun with an robot bird, Once Freak threw it up Max wen to catch it because he was very tall he was able to catch it because of his height he was able to catch it cause it would go in the tree Max loved it.
- Fair Gwen saw Max with Freak and got frighted because Max doesn't look like his age so when she saw Freak get out of Max's basement she was frighted, and told Kevin to get home.
- Fair Gwen later invited Max to supper with Freak and her and while he was there he was so happy he was filled with happy tears. Later Max and Freak had a good time at the firework show that Max had Freak on his shoulders watching the fireworks. After the show they got in troubled that Max ran the pond and got stuck in the pond cause of running from Tony. D later the police showed up.
