  • Thank you for coming in today. I wanted to talk about your child’s behavior during instructional time. He is having difficulty with task engagement and following multi-step directions.
  • “We’ve been working on increasing compliance and improving his ability to stay on task during whole group instruction. He tends to struggle during transitions and needs frequent redirection.”

  • We’re implementing strategies in the classroom, but we really need to see more consistency. It would be helpful if you could reinforce expectations at home

  • I’ve noticed your child is very engaged during hands-on activities. I’d love to hear what works well at home. Can you share what you’re seeing?
  • We usually give him choices, like ‘Do you want to do this first or that first?’ That seems to help a lot. And if I break things into smaller steps, he can follow through better. If I give him too much at once, he gets overwhelmed.
