Thank you for coming in today. I wanted to talk about your child’s behavior during instructional time. He is having difficulty with task engagement and following multi-step directions.
“We’ve been working on increasing compliance and improving his ability to stay on task during whole group instruction. He tends to struggle during transitions and needs frequent redirection.”

We’re implementing strategies in the classroom, but we really need to see more consistency. It would be helpful if you could reinforce expectations at home

I’ve noticed your child is very engaged during hands-on activities. I’d love to hear what works well at home. Can you share what you’re seeing?
We usually give him choices, like ‘Do you want to do this first or that first?’ That seems to help a lot. And if I break things into smaller steps, he can follow through better. If I give him too much at once, he gets overwhelmed.
