My speech is protected by the First Amendment because it does not directly incite an imminent lawless action.
Finally, the Supreme Court ruling that the advocacy of illegal action only be punished if it produces imminent lawless action. This ruling significantly raised the bar for what the government can censor, protecting hate speech if it isn't call to the violence.
