- Oh yeah? Well we have better leadership skills for this war and we play a defensive position which is an advantage.

- I became a factory worker after my husband went to war.

- General Grant wanted to separate the Confederates by controlling the Mississippi River.
- The Northerners couldn't take on Richmond, but they did get us into the Battle of Antietam. We lost so much on September 1862

- All enslaved people in the Confederate states are free from this point onwards.-Lincoln
- We tried capturing Gettysburg to make the North give up but Lincolns speech gave liberty to everyone.

- General Grant led the North into our city and raided our food and supplies until we surrended and had nothing left

- We stayed along side the union even though we got less pay, less training, and had very poor equipment. It was also very dangerous for us to get caught.

- Thanks to Sheridan's destruction of Shenandoah Valley and Sherman's capture of Atlanta i won the re-election. Also, the war ended when Lee surrendered to Grant in Appomattox Court House
