- My parents and I worked with my teachers to make a plan to manage my diabetes. Now, I have it under control and I am able to focus for advanced classes!

- These are some of the things I do at school. What things are in your plan too?I check my blood sugar before and after lunch, snacks, and physical activityI always have access to water and foodI eat close to the same time every dayI can do everything with my glucose monitor in front of the nurse just in case

- I managed my diabetes too and now, I can play multiple sports at the same time. I feel like a superhero!
- Normally, I am practicing with my teammates. My coaches know about my diabetes and work with me!

- Drinking lots of water

- Volunteering is something I enjoy on top of school and sports. Giving back to the community is fun and very rewarding!

- I let an adult know about my management plan if my parent did not stay with me.
- My parent continuously checks in on me to make sure I am comfortable and okay.

- Sometimes, it gets hard and I am sad or upset. I have a great support system that is always there to help me.

- It took a long time for me to get used to my new way of life. Now, I feel like a superhero who can take on anything!
