- France's monarchy, containing King Louis and his Queen, ran France. Then there were church officials who were in the first class, and the soldiers who were in the second class, while finally there was the third class with everyone else, who paid all the taxes.

- The third estate became frustrated with the king's rule and heavy taxation. This led to the third estate storming the Bastille on July 14, 1789, after news of the King's plan to use military force against them.
- Rise Of Napoleon
- France's new government, which spawned from the National Assembly, which was the third estate fighting back. They produced France's first constitution. They abolished Absolute Monarch, and removed privileges from the first and second classes. Church officials were elected by the people. and had a salary given by the government. They eventually led to a power vacuum in France.
- They took over after the Legislative Assembly. They abolished monarchy along with beheading the royal family using the guillotine. Caused the Reign of Terror, where in 17,000 people were executed.
- After the conversion of the Convention into the New Directory, France started conquering nations across Europe. Napoleon quickly was recognized as a military and national leader. Starts benefiting France with things as religious toleration, talent based hiring, and the spreading of the enlightenment.
