On March 10, 2010, former President Obama passed a federal law forming ACA (Affordable Care Act). This expanded healthcare for Americans by lowering the cost and allowing for smaller marketplaces to expand their coverage for their workers. It ordered nearly every American to pay for a "baseline" health insurance in case they were to ever need it. But if they didn't pay it, they would have to pay a fine. And this is where trouble started...

Congress immediately got to work and gave out billions in subsidies to get the act going. But 26 states also immediately decided to sue, claiming that the act was unconstitutional
Let's start handing out subsidies to smaller marketplaces so healthcare is more affordable and workers are protected!!
That fine seems unconstitutional...can Congress even do that?

And so ensued the Texas v. U.S. case. A check was made on the constitutionality of the act. Since the Supreme Court was the one who checked it, it was a Judicial Review
Congress doesn't have the power to force Americans to pay for insurance!!!
