Unknown Story

In the induction, christopher "sly", a drunken beggar, is kidnapped by a lord who plays a prank on him by treating him as royalty inside of the Lord's palace (which everyone acted as if it is the Sly's, since pretending he was in a coma was a part of the prank).
The issues begin when the Lucentio notices the beautiful daughter of the Baptista, Bianca, while walking with his manservant, Tranio. With Bianca's suitors, Hortensia and Gremio, present, her father says that he will not allow Bianca to be married until his other daughter, Katherina (the Shrew), is first.
:Lucentio talks to a man named Petruchio about getting with Katherina so he can make his move on Bianca. Petruchio actually wouldn't mind marrying this hated woman; however, he wants to tame her
Luciento can finally talk to Bianca since Katherine is enveloped in Petruchio's misogynistic idea of "romance" (taming the shrew).
Petruchio has started his controlling, misogynistic relationship with his wife, and he abuses her both mentally, verbally, and physically to get his point across that she needs to be tamed
At the end of the play, the Shrew is "tamed", and she gives a speech to the women in the audience to obey their husbands, and to treat them as royalty. This shows the misogyny which has brainwashed the women in this time. Her husband, Petruchio, congratulates her on being respectful towards him, and claims that she was willing in the process of taming her shrewishness
