- In a republic, leaders are elected by the citizens of that land. An example of a republic is the U.S.A. you see, if you are 18 or older you get permission to vote. Lastly, a republic can come in different forms, one being a democracy.
- Dictatorship
- I rule them all! Yay!
- In an aristocracy, power is given to the aristocrats. Aristocrats are people who were extremely wealthy and ran the government in ancient Greece. An example of this is in 1790, France. To add to this, aristocracy comes from Greek, meaning rule of the beast.
- Oligarchy
- Let's make scooters illegal!
- What laws should we make today?

- Feudalism was mainly dominant in Medival Europe. In feudalism, knights were repaid with land, given by the kings. An example of feudalism is the United States of America. Lastly, in feudalism your place on the social pyramid was practically impossible to change, you were stuck.
- Communism
- We share our things! I love all my neighbors!
- I have a broken arm so I earn more to pay it off!
- In a dictatorship, the ruler usually rises out of conflict and rules all the governments, militaries, etc... Also, violence, murder, intimidation, and abuse are usually used. An example of this is North Korea today. Finally, in a dictatorship, people are usually trapped in their country, and that is enforced with lots of weapons.
- I didn't get to vote! No fair!
- In an oligarchy, power is held by a few people. More often than not, these people use their power to their advantage. An example of an Oligarchy is Russia today. Lastly, Robert Michels created the term Oligarchy.
- In Communism, the people believe they should share everything! This political theory and philosophy were invented by Karl Marx. An example of this today is in China. To close it all, in Communism property is publicly owned, and all pay and earnings are fitted to a person's specific needs.
