"...a door leads to a bedroom which is shared by Mama and her daughter, Beneatha. At right, opposite, is a second room which serves as a bedroom for Walter and his wife, Ruth".
Where Travis Gets Money
"Well, I ain’t got no fifty cents this morning".
"What you tell the boy things like thatfor?"
The Big Argument
"He was my father, too!"
"That money belongs to Mama, Walter, and it's for her to decide how she wants to use it".
"You see, this little liquor store we got in mind costs seventy-five...".
The Younger family, there are five members. There is Mama, and here two children, Walter and Beneatha. Their father, Big Walter, passed away a long time ago. Walter has a wife named Ruth, and they both have a child named Travis. This is the Younger family!
Their Dreams
"...sometimes at the back of the houses down home".
In this scene, Travis asked Ruth to give him  five cents for school and Ruth says no and that she doesn't have any money. Walter heard this and got angry at Ruth because he wants Travis to think that they do have money. Walter wants Travis to live a normal life, one where he doesn't have to worry about money, so, Walter gives Travis ten cents.
Beneatha's Guitar
"Madeline is going to start my guitar lessons today".
"How long it going to be before you get tired ofthis now...".
Walter and Beneatha have an argument about a check that is coming in the mail. The check is their dead father's and consists of $10,000. It is addressed to Mama, but Walter wants to invest it in a liquor business. Beneatha doesn't agree with this because she thinks that it's Mama's money and she should decide what to do with it.
Ruth Falls
"Ruth! Ruth honey—what’s the matter with you … Ruth!"
All the Youngers have different dreams with the $10,000 check. Like Walter wants to open a liquor store and make money off of it. Mama wants to use it to buy a new house for the family to live in. Beneatha wants to use the money to go to medical school, but she doesn't tell Mama this.
"To be a doctor".
Beneatha tells Ruth and Mama that she's going to take guitar lesson. Mama asks her why and is doubting her and thinks that Beneatha is going to get tired of it really easily and quit quickly. This is because the same think happened when Beneatha took other classes like guitar.
In this scene, Ruth and Mama are talking about Mama's children, Walter and Beneatha. Mama thinks that they are very different than what they were like when they were younger and she's telling Ruth about it. Ruth is saying that they grew up to be very amazing children. Mama tells Ruth to sing "No Ways Tired" while looking at her plant. Then, Ruth suddenly collapses.
