Negative feedback is one of two types of homeostasis which give us a stable internal environment. In order for your body to cool down, you sweat and the sweat evaporates which cools you down. Once your body is cool enough you stop sweating, but as soon as you get hot again, here comes the sweat! We see negative feedback loops in nature too.
Predator-Prey relationships are a good example of a negative feedback loop: when an herbivore population grows quickly, the predator population will also grow, that decreases the size of herbivore population which then decreases the predator population and that allows the herbivore population to grow and start the cycle over and over again.
Wow. Negative feedback loops are pretty cool and sound like they have positive outcomes!
So until your body is back to average temp. your going to sweat so, grab your water bottle, don't complain and lets shoot some more!
Shoots! We go!
