In this scene, Agamemnon and Achilles are disputing who had a more honorable death.This scene is important because Agamemnon and Achilles' argument displays the theme of Kelos and how important it was in Greek mythology.
"Son of Peleus, great godlike Achilles! Happy man, you died on the fields of Troy. a world away from home, and the best of Trojan and Argive champions died around you, fighting for your corpse." (24.38-41).

This scene consists of Laertes embracing the coming home of his son, Odysseus. This scene is important because Agamemnon and Achilles' argument displays the another theme, Nostos.
During this scene, Athena comes to stop the fight between Odysseus and the suitors. This scene is important because Athena shows how important God interventions can be.
