- The pigs had set aside the harness-room as a headquarters for themselves. Snowball busied himself with organizing the Animal Comittees. He formed the Egg Production Comittee, Clean Tails League, Wild Comarades' Re-education Committee, and more.

- The animals had different capabilities on reading and writing. Benjamin, Muriel, and the pigs could read pretty well. However, other animals were struggling to memorize the alphabet.
- I cannot believe the pigs took the milk and apples!
- Snowball decided to make a new maxim that reflects The Seven Commandments. Four legs good, two legs bad. This maxim was inscribed in the wall of the barn, and the sheep developed a great liking for this maxim.
- Comrades! You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislike them myself. Our sole object in taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig. We pigs are brain-workers.
