Oh! Chocolate is considered sacred. It symbolizes wealth, celebration, and divine connection for us Mayans. Cacao beans, the primary ingredient, were also used as currency in our society. Xocolatl is the name of a Mayan chocolate drink and we use wooden whisks to make the chocolate frothy. When you come to visit us, we can all have Xocolatl together!
