- Grant and Demi understand that financially they have to make more money if they want to expand their emergency funds and retirement. Both of them agree that the best course of action is for Demi to continue her education in nursing so she can earn more money.

- Demi and Grant know that with Demi going back to school, she will not be at home as much and neither will Grant. This means that the kids are going to have to be more responsible at home and with their activities. This means the family has to be there for each other

- Abigail is scared that with both of her parents being gone more and with only living off one salary, that both of the them will be more focused on their careers

- Demi wants to make sure the the kids know they are going to try their best to keep everything the same financially, however they would like Abigail to help Liam out as much as possible.

- Demi is worried that she will be too busy to enjoy being with the kids and take care of all the house work. Demi does not want her kids to feel that they are only worried about their careers.

- Demi and Grant are afraid that with one salary money might be tight. However they want the family dynamic to stay the same. This might mean that they are going to have to take from other funds.

- During the week days Abigail finds herself helping Liam out a lot and also trying to help out around the house. Abigail wants to help her parents financially by not having to pay for a tutor

- Grant knows that with one salary they are really going to have to cut back on unnecessary expenses, like going out. Grant still wants Liam to be in all his actives and to still help Abigail with college expenses. Luckly for the time being, they have enough in their emergency fund that they can pull a small portion out.

- Both Demi and Grant want to evaluate their decision each week by calculating their finances and having a family check-ins to make sure everyone feels heard.

- Grant and Demi feel that they have a good plan in place for their finances and family during the time that Demi is gone. They know that they will struggle a little with money however they want to make sure that both Abigail and Liam are the priority and are taken care of.
