Darcy felt as if it was time to get some things off her chest.
Hey Hakeem, can I talk to you for a minute?
Yeah sure.
Darcy was walking through the park going home when she seen Hakeem. He was playing basketball at the basketball court.
They started to walk around the park
My day has been pretty good
It was him, his friends, and his cousin playing.
Darcy stopped in front of her favorite tree.
So umm..I've liked you for a while now and I just thought it's time for you to know.
Darcy took a deep breath. She asked Hakeem if he could talk for a little while. He told her yes and then told his friends he would be back in a little bit.
Hakeem paused to think about what Darcy had just told him. Darcy began to feel embarresed.
They asked each other questions about their day and joked around a little.
How has your day been Hakeem?
She was nervous but decided it was time to tell Hakeem how she truly felt.
Just when Darcy was about to say sorry and walk away, Hakeem looked down and kissed her.
