- Quintin and Margo were childhood friends since the age of nine, ever since, Quintin had a crushed on her. One day, they were biking to the park and found a dead man encircled by blood and flies.

- That night Margot sneaks out at Quintin's window and told him she is conducting an investigation about the dead guy. She told him that she found out his name is Robert Joyner and according to one of his neighbors the guy was getting divorce and he was sad about it. Quintin realizes how much Margot loves mysteries.
- I though you were dead!I found you following the clues you left
- I had to get away from Orlando ...I realized I was made of paper
- Years past and Quintin and Margo drifted apart. Now they are in senior year. Quintin's friends, Radar and Ben are excited to go to prom but Quintin is not. Ben hasn't been able to get a prom date and Radar has a girlfriend named Angela. Margot is a popular girl in the school and Jase is her boyfriend, who is an athlete and a bully.
- One night Margot sneaks out at Quintin's window for the first time since the dead guy incident. This time Margot tell Quintin that her boyfriend is cheating on her with her best friend Becca. They drive to Becca's house and Margot makes an anonymous call to tell Becca's mother about the two having relations in the basement. Jase run away naked and Quintin takes a picture of him.
- Quintin and Margot break into Becca's house and leave a note and a big dead fish in her closet as a revenge. Margot sprays paint a big M on the wall before they have to run away.
- Next step in Margot's revenge list is Jase. Quintin drives her to Jase's house and throws a big fish with a note for him. She also spray paint a big M in the window. Quintin though about abandon her but manage to stay by his car ready to run away.
- Lacey is the next victim on the list. She is also one of Margot's best friends. Margot tells Quintin that Lacey knew Jase was cheating on her with Becca and didn't tell her. They drive around and find Lacey's car across a Sushi restaurant and Margot executes her plan. She left a big fish in Lacey's car underneath the back seat with a note and ask Quintin to spray paint a big M in the car's roof.
