  • The economy has been expanding for a while and just hit it's peak. The interest rates are low, GDP is high, and the unemployment rate is decreasing. Clara has been doing so great financially that she decided to take a leave for 6 months and stay at home with her son. Today, he is with his grandma so she decided to do some shopping at a local mall.

  • Clara just found out that the stock market is beginning to fall, meaning the economy is now entering a contraction. The unemployment rate is going back up, and the interest rates for loans have increased a little bit since the last time she had looked. S he can no longer afford to just shop and enjoy her time off doing things that cost money, so she took a walk in the city park instead while her son is at his grandma's house again.

  • Clara just found out that the economy is at its recent lowest. This trough is causing even more unemployment, GDP rates are extremely low, and interest rates have exponentially risen. This is causing her to have to begin working again, unfortunately cutting her time off very short. Luckily, she still gets to spend time with her son some days of the week because she works from home at times as well.
