30 years before the french and indian war happened, French traders moved to South Carolina. The french traded with the cherokee.
The French and Indian war

The British formed a treaty with the Cherokee. The Cherokee thought that they were friends on equal term. Mean while the British thought that they were in charge of the Cherokee.
Cherokee war last 2 years
The peace between the British and the Cherokee lasted about 30 years. Then what broke this peace was the French and Indian war. The Cherokee expected protection from the British but they failed to do so.
British taking over
French losing all there land
Then as we know it the French and Indian war happened. The expected protection from the British but they didn't. The Cherokee felt cheated by the British so they took possession of the settlers horses.

This lead to the Cherokee war. This war lasted for about 2 years. This resulted in many deaths among the Cherokee.
Many Cherokees died
The war ended up making the french losing there land and the Cherokee giving up most of there land. The treaty created a boundary diving the South Carolina colony and the Cherokee territory.
