Hermia and Lysander meet and she tells him about her dad's order. They are distraught and plan to run away together to marry in secret.
Before she leaves, Hermia goes to Helena, her best friend, and tells her about the plan to run away with Lysander. Helena is secretly happy - she thinks that she now has a chance to marry Demetrius herself.
What's wrong
At nightfall, Hermia and Lysander meet in the woods and begin their journey. Meanwhile, Helena is telling Demetrius that Hermia has run away.
