*sigh* I really can't understand our topic about bone formation
I think I should ask my sister for help since she's a histology professor
Sis, I have a question. About my assignment
Daughter
what is it all about?
Do you understand the two ways that bones are formed?
What's their difference?
Before week eight of fetal development, intramembranous ossification develops, while endochondral development occurs in month two.
It consists of endochondral and intramembranous ossification.
Thank you, Sis! I finally understand the difference between two process of bone formation :)
Another distinction is that in intramembranous growth, the production of bone takes place inside a membrane; examples of this growth include the cranium and the clavicle (flat bones). Endochondral uses hyaline cartilage as a pattern for ossification for all bones below the skull other than the clavicle.
Guess I can do my homework now!
