Her shoes disappeared, but she was just away for a little.
An unfamiliar person in the pickup line. But she would be back soon. Right?
Right?
Christina SiegelWith deep and abiding sadness, we mourn the passing of Christina Siegel, age 44, beloved wife of Mark, and mother of twin daughters, Elizabeth and Sarah, age 5. Christina is also survived by her mother, Vida Slawson, and brother, Paul Slawson. A native of Los Angeles and alumna of the Westlake School, Christina graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Reed College, was a Rhodes Scholar finalist and Harvard Law School graduate at age 24. For the next ten years she practiced health care law specializing in mergers & acquisitions and regulatory work. Christina then retired from her position as the hiring partner in the Los Angeles office of McDermott Will & Emory to do the work that she had always wanted most – being a full-time mother and wife. For Christina, being a mother and wife was a calling, and like everything, she did it with unsurpassed energy and enthusiasm. No one has ever found more joy in raising children. Still, Christina found time to serve on the Board of Directors of the Eisner Pediatric Medical Center, as a member of The Blue Ribbon, and was recently elected to the Board of the Center for Early Education. Christina's wit and intelligence matched her striking physical beauty; but she will long be remembered most for her unsurpassed integrity and kindness. Her sudden, unexpected and unexplained passing leaves a painful void in the lives of all who knew her. Memorial services for Christina will be held at Hillside Memorial Park on Sunday, April 14 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Christina Siegel Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Center for Early Education in West Hollywood, California.
