- Well, firstly, we can’t just go around wasting water which is a necessity for life to exist on earth.

- Two, only about 3% of the water available on earth is freshwater. Freshwater is the water we drink, bathe in, irrigate our farm fields with. Two-thirds of that freshwater is in frozen glaciers and unavailable to us. Pollution is also a problem as it contaminates the water and water contamination leads to less water available to us.

- This results in some 1.1 billion people worldwide lacking access to water and a total of 2.7 billion find water scarce for at least one month of the year.
- Those are really big numbers! I had no idea that access to clean and fresh water was such a big problem to the world.
