Rakas, a Grade 12 student, is an ambivert person. She’s jolly and approachable. But she is also having problems or negative thoughts that stays on her mind. She’s very supportive and frank but her supportiveness has limits. She doesn’t support severe bad things or actions that her friends do sometimes.

When she’s in 7th grade she started to have a pimple. She has a lot of pimples when she’s in 8th grade. By that she started to feel ugly and insecure. Thus, she started to gain weight.

Years passed, she’s still hearing those words. It doesn’t affect her fully because she’s comfortable with her body having curves, thick thigh and arms. She still receives backhanded compliments.

When pandemic happened, she grew interests in buying girly clothes. She started to imagine herself wearing those dresses, skirts, and crop tops. She also ate different kinds of food without workout. By that, she gained 5 kg. Her family and relatives are starting to say those words that she doesn’t want to hear. She’s very offended on how they said things to her.

When the government allows the citizens to travel, she tried to wear sleeveless crop top and she tried to wear a bikini for the first time. But she’s shy because of her body so she wore a cover up and shorts. Months passed, she gained another 5 kg.
She’s very hurt and it made her feel like she’s the ugliest creature in the world. Hearing those words endlessly made her lose herself, she loses her confidence that she worked hard to build. But God is really good, He gave her true friends and special someone that compliments her and helps her to gain confidence by saying she looks pretty and cute that her clothes that she wears looks good on her.
