There is a young girl named Hayami. She is a shy and quiet child who always stays in her bedroom. And his father, Hector, and mother, Aling Maya.
Hector and Aling Maya's business is sellingflowers, but they are cruel and strict to their daughter Hayami, as a result of which the child is quiet and always locks herself in her bedroom.
Hayami also loves flowers, so she always plants in her mother's own garden behind their house when she has nothing to do.
But one day, her mother suddenly got mad at herbecause she was planting new flowers in their garden. Her mom couldn’t controlherself to the point that she said offending words to her daughter and wishedthat God should just give her more flowers instead of having a daughter like Hayami.

The next day, Hayami suddenly disappeared.That’s why Hector and Aling Maya were surprised, but they didn't look for heranymore because they didn't even care about Hayami.
And the couple was surprised by what they saw intheir garden of flowers because there was a flower growing there that everytime someone came near it, it would suddenly close as if it was shy or avoidingeveryone, just like their daughter Hayami. Aling Maya regretted what she saidto her daughter and took care of the flower because for her, that was theirdaughter Hayami. And since then, they call this flower Makahiya.
