- Eli and Ella are twins and have been best friends since birth. They have both sent applications to the same university program. But Ella got the acceptance letter while Eli got rejected. They now have to separate as the university is 5 hours away.

- Their grandma sees that Eli is upset and distancing himself from Ella. She talks to the twins to try to untangle the situation.

- Ella is away at university and she is getting lonely without her best friend Eli. Her friend visits her and gives her a golden retriever puppy to bond with her.

- Eli was also getting lonely at home so his friend gave him a guinea pig to help him adjust. But Eli was not happy with just one guinea pig so he went to the pet store.

- Eli’s shoulder angels tell him he needs to buy more guinea pigs because they see he is unhappy with just one guinea pig. At the pet store they show him which ones have flaws and do not allow him to buy the ones that are not right for him.

- Eli brought all the guinea pigs to his room and created special bonds with each guinea pig as they shared snacks.

- Ella got a fence so that her dog would not run away and they could spend more time together.
