Lady Hamilton. Lady Ida, Amy, and Arthur talk about Lord Percy's arrival while sitting on the balcony weaving flower gardens. Arthur tells the story of Percy's past love and his family and why he has come to visit. Edith sits at the end of the balcony listening to their conversation.
Amy trips of a ledge while in the woods and hangs on by a branch. While Lady Ida and Arthur just watch Edith helps Amy by using her scarf to pull her up safely.

At Amy's 17 birthday Lord Arlington asks Edith to dance but she declines and dances with Lord Percy instead, which causes jealousy in Lady Ida and Lord Arlington.
Why are they dancing with eachother!
Lady Ida purposely gives Selim: the horse that misbehaves to Edith, hoping something goes wrong. Edith's horse runs off from everyone while she is riding it and leaps over a tall stone ledge, but its about to storm and Edith and Selim need to go to the barn!

Lady Ida explains to Edith the only why she will earn her kindness and forgiveness is that Edith Has to Stay away from Lord Percy, Amy, and Lord Hamilton.

After Edith falls in the water, Percy and Edith row back to shore. Percy asks for Edith's friendship, but she is confused why he wants to be friends because she is a poor and humble girl and he is noble and wealthy.
How could we be friends I'm just a poor and humble girl from Italy
