- Later that evening they got a letter from peter that by time they got this letter he would be dead because the Nazi's found there hideout and raided it killing tons after Annemaries mom and dad read it they told Annemarie that he died and they told her how Lise died.

- A few years passed and Denmark was finally freed from the Nazi rule and the Rosens were still in Sweeden but the entire town celabrated while the Nazi population was slowly but shorly dieing off.
