Hey Xander did you know that in 1832 there was a convention to discuss Texas having more freedom but it failed
They actually did this twice
hey i heard yall talking about the conventions of 1832 and 33
Yeah ADAM, in 1833 Stephen F. Austin had went to mexico city to discuss the things that texans had wanted such as being their own state, no taxes, ect
where these conventions successful?
No they where not because they didn't end up getting things they wanted, but it was a good attempt
and in the convention of 1833 Mexico´s government didn't like this and thought this as treason
didn't Stephen F. Austin get arrested because of this?
Yes because when Stephen F. Austin went to mexico city to talk with Santa Anna he was doing other things and Austin wrote him a letter
And the Mexican government got this letter and took it as treason later throwing Austin in prison
And the texans went to the convention so they could have their rights .
Thats enough for one day BYE
