Hmm! Similar but different. Cyprus has a more complex system!
You're both in secondary school now, what's that like?
You guys have it easy! In Cyprus we have lower secondary from 12-15, then upper secondary OR Technical school from 16-18. We get diplomas at the end.
In TCI we have 4 public high schools which we attend up to age 16. We don't have 6th Form. We do CCSLC, CVQ, CSEC iGCSE.

We have public and private universities and specialist non-university institutes for lifelong learning. I will go to the Forestry College, then the Police Academy.
Congrats Cindy! I won't be going to university yet. In TCI we go to community college to do tech/voc or professional studies (Asc/Bsc).
I'm in 6th form, I've just applied to UWI to do a BSc in Statistics. What will you guys do?

Miss it was a great conversation! The Cyprus system is more comprehensive and diversified. It offers a full continuum from early childhood education to doctoral-level higher education. However in TCI, the system is leaner and more compact, reflecting the smaller population and resource base. It covers the basics from primary to secondary, with compulsory schooling, and a community college for tertiary/ vocational training. If I were to choose, I'd go to Cyprus.
