  • Why must the South listen to what the Constitution says about slavery, when it should be up to each individual state to decide if slavery should be legal or illegal.
  • Me and the people of the South do not object to the Constitution, but to the way it has been interpreted by Northerners, we must return to the original way the constitution was interpreted so that we can prevent wrong interpretations recurring again.
  • Our Secession from the Union of States is necessary in order to show that not all states agree with how the Constitution gives power to the Federal government.
  • This 'Civil War' will be the event in which we, the South will show our strength against the Union, so that we shall truly become an independent, sovereign nation.
