Hi I'm Zaahid and I’m here to tell you all about the rock cycle!
I first started as an Igneous Rock.Then I changed into sediments over time.This process is called weathering and usuallyhappens by wind and rain.It is when I break down Into pebbles,sand and mud creating Sediments.
Then I became a Sedimentary Rock.There are two processes needed for this to happen.Compaction-It is when they layers above compress the sediments.Cementation-It is the hardening of sediments and this turns me into a Sedimentary Rock.
After I became a Sedimentary Rock I had tocomplete my journey and become a MetamorphicRock. Heat from the core below and pressure fromthe layers above compressed me and turned meInto a Metamorphic Rock.This is the process ofMetamorphism.This all happens underground.
So how did I become an Igneous Rock?Magma is hot molten Rock that lies beneath the earth's surface.I got heated as I was oneof the rocks close to the Magma.I eventually became an Igneous Rock,when the Magma rose to the surface and it was cooled.
So that is my story everyone of how I transformed into a Igneous,Then Sedimentary and finally Metamorphic Rock.I hope you learned something today and can understand how important a simple thing in nature like a Rock is.See you next time!
