- I would like you to share what you have learned about your specific explorer. You can do a powerpoint, a poster, a skit, a rap, or an essay to show me what you know! You will present these to the class.
- Oh no! I remember WHY explorers traveled and the effects they had but I can't think of any details about my explorer.

- Hey Ms. Baker. I am having a hard time coming up with ideas for my project. I reread my passage on John Cabot but I don't know how to put it in an essay. I remember the big ideas of explorers like why and how they explored but I can't remember the details of my explorer
- Now I think I got it! I remember John Cabot explored to find a path to Asia like a few other explorers. I think a poster will be good. Thanks!

- That is okay Jacob. The reason we are doing this project is to practice storytelling and sharing information with others. An essay can be hard sometimes to get out everything you want to share. Here is a graphic organizer with what I am looking for. Have you considered doing a poster instead? You can use pictures or drawings to describe your explorer.Or if you need, think of the big ideas with John Cabot in mind. Maybe a poster of why he explored and how he did it?
- We are doing this project so we can practice our information finding and sharing skills. Don't forget to look back at your notes!
