Well, I was born on July 24, 1783 in Caracas, Venezuela
I grew up like all the children of my social rank; cradled in the arms of a slave named Hippolyta, which is the one who loved like a second mother
My father died on January 19, 1786, at the age of 60 and my mother María de la Concepción Palacios later died on July 6, 1792, I was just two and a half years old when I lost my father and 9 when I lost my mother.

On June 24, 1821, in the Sabana de Carabobo, Bolívar fought a battle that definitively decided the independence of Venezuela. The remnants of the Royalist Army take refuge in Puerto Cabello, which will fall in 1823. The Liberator enters his hometown in triumph amid the joy of his fellow citizens.
