Rogue Access Point / Man in the Middle

A "Rogue Access Point" is an unauthorized installation or sanction without the owner or creator's knowledge. It is installed on a network without the network owners knowledge or authorization. The point can be installed with good or bad intentions.

These rumors spreading kind of remind me of a Rogue Access Point. Someone listened in on my business and told without my permission.
On your network some of the best ways to prevent a Rogue Access Point is to use a wireless intrusion detector (will detect any unwanted access onto a network) or use a protective prevention system on your network. To get rid of one you have to find it on your network and get rid of it that way.
