- Turtle gets assaulted while staying with Edna, this makes Taylor second guess all the choices shes made to this point, wondering if shes even qualified to be a mother.
- Ordeal
- Taylor continues to overthink and blame the world for its cruelness. She goes through a deep depression not sleeping, eating, or talking, even ignoring turtle because she's unsure of what to do. In fear of the government taking Turtle into the foster care system without legal documents.
- Mattie’s in need of someone to drive Esperanza and Esteven to a Sanctuary in Oklahoma where they’ll besafer, Turtle just so happens to be from Oklahoma where she was given to Taylor. This opens up and opportunity for Taylor to drive them and take turtle to go look for her family where she’ll hopefully get legal papers of abandonment.
- Reward
- The Road Back
- She agrees to take the refugee couple to the sanctuary in Oklahoma. But before heading to the sanctuary, they decided to go back to the bar where Turtle got turtle for moral support. Taylors learns that the bar and the original owner has been replaced by a new family. Because of this she’s unable to find Turtles original family.
- Unable to find Turtles biological family, before taking Estevan and Esperanza to the sanctuary. They agree to sign abandonment papers as "Turtles Parents" making Taylor Turtle's legal guardian.
- Resurrection
- Now, legally Turtle's mom, Taylor finally takes Esperanza and Estevan to the sanctuary where they'll be safe for some time. The couple reassures Taylor that she'll be a great mother and they say their final goodbyes. Taylor comes to terms with a lot of things she was wary and insecure about during her depressive state. Now being able to share her happiness and her adoption to her loved ones.
