- Rainsford and Whitney are sailing on a yacht through the Caribbean. They are on their way to the amazon to hunt. The 2 have conflicting views on hunting, Whitney has empathy for the animals, while Rainsford thinks this is ridiculous.

- Rainsford falls off the yacht and swims to “Ship Trap Island” where he finds blood from what he guesses was a dead animal. He then stumbles upon a palatial chateau which he learns is the home of General Zaroff and Ivan. The welcome that Rainsford receives is not warm, instead it is suspicious and scary.
- Playing In The Jungle
- Where is he?
- Rainsford enters the building which is filled with many rare decorations. Rainsford spots the animal heads, and asks General Zaroff about them. Then General Zaroff tells him about his passion for hunting.
- A Final Duel
- Zaroff said hunting became too easy, so he invented a new animal, which turns out to be humans. Zaroff finds hunting humans thrilling, while Rainsford thinks it's inhumane. The General then shows Rainsford his hunting school, where he tells Rainsford that they will play the game, hunting each other.
- Rainsford is given an early start and sets off into the jungle. While playing the game, Rainsford uses many tricks he learned from his adventures. The next day, he is cornered by Zaroff and jumps into the sea.
- Later in the day, Rainsford appears in the general's house, saying he swam back. Rainsford and General Zaroff have a duel, leaving Zaroff dead. Finally,Rainsford goes to sleep in Zaroff’s bed, deciding he had never slept better.
