Hi Dan! Have you heard about the Bill of Rights that is found in Article III of the 1987 Philippine Constitution? I really like the one that mentions the Freedom of Expression
I like that one too. Section 4 states that no law shall be passed abridging the freedom of speech, of expression, of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances.

As a student journalist, I value this right. This protects me from oppression when I speak up. Also, it is a way to protect democracy in our country.

Iagree. I think you are referring to the freedom of censorship. The citizen of the Philippines should not be deprived of the right to criticize the government. However, this should only be applied to those opinions that concern the public and not you criticizing your fellow.
Yeah! This right also protects Filipinos from punishments because of speaking up. Citizens should not be jailed if they are just expressing their opinions about a public issue.
