- Although the L.O.N. was an organization made to maintain world peace & that's what the U.S. wanted, the United States decided not to join because there were other isolationists that opposed the idea of it. They felt as if it'd be another alliance system that would lead to another war.

- The goals of the European Allied Powers differed from the United States. The Europeans wanted to punish Germany because WWI was Germany's fault, make Germany pay reparations and limit Germany's military. Meanwhile , the United States only wanted Lasting World Peace.

- The Kellogg-Briand Peace pact was made to stop the us of war as "an instrument of national policy"The states promised not to use war as their way to resolve conflicts.
