So, after hearing about some opinions from other U.S. citizens, what is your opinion on the electoral college?
I don’t know! They made some many good points about the pros and cons. It makes me wonder, how can the U.S. claim to be a “democracy” if so many people feel their voice doesn’t matter?

That’s very true. No where in the Constitution does it say that the U.S. is a blatant “Democracy”, yet that is what we claim to be. A democracy, by definition, is a form of government that gives “power to the people”. The United States is generally referred to as a “Representative Democracy”, which means that the people vote for other people to make decisions on their behalf. While this generally is manageable, sometimes a person's representative does not match up with their own values and wants. The main criticism of representative democracy is that representatives are often wealthy and high in status. This can leave a gap between what the people really want, and what the representative does.
Interesting! Thank you for the information about the U.S. Democracy and our voting policies. Anyways, I’m on my way to go vote, and you should too!

Why don’t people like the electoral college, and others do?
Well, why don’t we find out from some other U.S. Citizens!
