- I, Henry Clay, should've been the one who won the election.
- NO! I am the better than you and that sore loser over there!
- Excuse me?! Did you just call me a sore loser Jackson?!
- The Speaker of the House
- Hmm... perhaps I should excuse myself from the election, it would make things fair.
- The Corrupt Bargain
- Hey John, lets make a bargain. I have the power to defeat Jackson and if I do, you'll be president.
- Well, that is a pretty good idea, no one will ever find out. I would be will to make you Secretary of State too.
- Henry Clay, Andrew Jackson, and John Quincy Adams were all running for president, but none of them had the right amount of votes from the electoral college.
- Jackson Cracks the Case
- Hey, wait a second! It seems to me that Clay and Adams made a corrupt bargain together. Those stinky little cheats!
- Henry Clay was the Speaker of the House which meant that he would be able to vote for himself in the election. So, he decided to excuse himself from the election.
- Adams is Not Looking Too Hot
- How could they do such a thing like that? We all trusted them and they lied to all of us! We should vote for Jackson in the next election.
- Since Henry Clay was the Speaker of the House, he had the power to defeat Jackson in the election. After John won, he lived up to his word and made Clay Secretary of State.
- The New President
- I guess this was a great victory on my behalf. Woo hoo!
- Both Jackson and his followers believed that Adams and Clay made a corrupt bargain together.

- After people began to find out what Adams and Clay supposedley did, people felt like they couldn't trust Adams as their president. He was not looking too hot.
- So at the Election of 1828, the people voted for Andrew Jackson as their new president.
