Marley's Ghost

I can read the fear right off of Scrooge's face. "Do you really want to know who I was in real life"?, I said. Scrooge replied with a shaky voice mumbling, "Who were you"? Scrooge was trembling. I know that Scrooge wants nothing more than for me to leave, but I just have to give him this information, for it could save his life. "When I was alive, I was your partner, Jacob Marley".
"So let me guess, you don't believe in me right"? Scrooge didn't seem too convinced. "Why do you not believe"?, I asked. Without warning, Scrooge began to insult me, by saying I was more gravy than grave. "Here I am trying to save his life and this is how he repays me"?
"I HAVE HAD ENOUGH"!, I shouted! Scrooge scrambled to his knees begging for mercy. "As you can see I have a chain around me. Each link I have created myself during my life. You have one as well. Just invisible as of now". "Comfort me", said Scrooge.
"Tonight you will be visited by three spirits". Scrooge's expression turned even more frightened than before. "Can I get them all over with at once"?, Scrooge asked. Ignoring Scrooge's silly question I simply said, "The first will be expected at 1:00AM, the second in the same hour, and the third, which shall come in his own time". Scrooge shook with terror.
With that I left. Leaving Scrooge only with his thoughts on what I has just said. I tied my tie over my mouth to close it, and disappeared into the night.
