- Hi! My name is Polo and I'm going to lead y'all on my journey through the digestive system. I am very brave, I slide down the esophagus like a fun water slide! At the bottom, I land in a big, squishy bag called the stomach. This is where the journey really begins!

- The Stomach's Juicy WelcomeIn the stomach, I meet the stomach juices – they’re strong liquids that start breaking me down into tiny pieces. These juices are a bit like a superhero cleaner, breaking down food so our bodies can use it..

- Mixing and ChurningThe stomach has muscles that churn and twist, kind of like washing clothes in a machine! These muscles squish me around to make sure I get mixed well with the stomach juices. I am now turning into a thick, soupy liquid called chyme.

- Getting Smaller and SmallerAs I keep mixing, I break down into even tinier pieces. Now, I am not really an orange anymore – I am turning into nutrients, which are like super-powered energy pieces our body needs to grow strong and healthy.

- Preparing for the Next StepAfter all the churning, I am, now a nutrient soup, is ready to leave the stomach and move into the small intestine. A special valve opens, letting me flow through like water through a gate. I am now ready for the next stage of his journey!

- Nutrients Go to Work!In the small intestine, my nutrients get absorbed and enter the bloodstream. This is how my energy spreads all around the body, giving it power to run, play, and grow. I have now completed my journey and has become energy for you!.
