- Carl and Russel land deep in the forest
- not long after, they run into Carls childhood idol, Charles Muntz, who invites them back to his blimp
- there they find a rare species of bird, who Russel names Kevin, and a talking dog called Doug.
- But when they get back to the blimp, Charles Muntz unleashes his angry dogs at Carl and Rusell in order to capture Kevin, who is worth a lot of money.
